 Hello again Chiropractic Students around the world!  I can’t believe we are only 50 days away for our main event! It is incredible how fast time goes by. Registration is over. It is my pleasure to inform you that we have over 110 delegates registered from 22 schools for WCCS 2008!

 We will have the pleasure of having Cleveland College of Chiropractic LA for first time in many years with a 4 people delegation, and we are also having the favorite delegation of a lot of people back, which is obviously RMIT Japan, also with 4 new delegates! Please be sure to show them some chiro-hospitality. 

 Here are some announcements that you should take into consideration. 

As an affiliated college, you will be aware that The World Congress of Chiropractic Students (WCCS) is an international forum representing the chiropractic profession. Active membership now consists of over 28,000 students from 33 chiropractic colleges. The WCCS has been meeting every year since 1979 to discuss issues pertinent to the chiropractic profession.  The next annual congress will be held from 7-12th August 2008 in Mexico City, Mexico.

This international event is an exceptional opportunity for students to develop a global awareness of chiropractic, discuss issues that affect students at a school, local, or international level and to exchange new ideas from a student perspective. Students will be actively assisting to unify the profession from within and to unite the health care community in the interest of contributing to world health.

Since the WCCS was established, care has been taken to ensure that the goals of congress are constantly met.  These goals include:

• Working toward unity within the chiropractic profession;
• Serving as a liaison between chiropractic students and student associations with governmental and private groups;
• Promoting research and professional respect amongst members of the chiropractic profession and:
• To seek improvement in the quality of chiropractic education and improve student knowledge of, and participation in, current chiropractic political and social issues.
